Extra-Curricular

CLUBS, TEAMS, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Indian Head High School is extremely proud to offer such a robust and diverse array of clubs, sports, and school activities. It is through the dedication of our staff and students that we have been able to find such success and longevity in our program offerings. We are equally proud of our continued innovation and exploration of new programs, as well. We welcome new ideas, initiatives, and volunteers in our efforts and look forward to your anticipated participation and continued support.

  • Students are reminded that all extra-curricular activities are a privilege and not a right. These privileges can be revoked for inappropriate behaviour, absenteeism, or low academic standing.
  • Students are encouraged to be involved in extra-curricular activities and we encourage new students to ask questions to find out about all our offerings.
  • At IHHS, we welcome and embrace the involvement of community-based leaders/coaches. Students are expected to afford all supervising members/coaches/leaders the same respect and dedication they would towards our IHHS staff members.
  • All travel to and from events/activities/games must be do so by authorized personal in advance by the principal and the event supervisor. Part of the process requires the competition of APF 8200.1 Authorization to Transport Students in a Private Vehicle. In conjunction with the above Administrative Procedure, the presentation of a recent Criminal Record Check is required to be shown to the office. If special arrangements are necessary, these arrangements must be made in advance with the supervisor and administration.
  • Due to increase costs of travel, a new fee schedule will be sent out in the fall and will be part of the communication that all coaches/leaders are expected to share with parents and student participants.
  • Student involvement with drugs or alcohol, or any conduct considered by the supervisor to be unsuitable, will not be tolerated. Failure to comply will result in the student being excluded from the activity and disciplined according to division and school policies.
