Principal's Message
Students, as you prepare for the school year, we want to encourage you to challenge yourself; whether in your academics, athletics, or in your participation/volunteerism in school activities. Your school experience is what you make of it, so don't be afraid to try 'that new thing' or ask 'that question'. Remember that the IHHS staff is here for you, to help you, to support you in your growth both personally and academically.
To our parents, we encourage and welcome the opportunity to engage and communicate with all of you. Please know that our doors are always open, and your feedback is encouraged. We also want to take this opportunity to welcome your support, your engagement, and your volunteerism is any school activities or events. At IHHS we recognize the importance of strong community and family connections. We value the contributions of the past and anticipate the importance of those in the future.
As we enter another school year, we do our best to prepare, to anticipate, and to respond. However, as we have come to learn, particularly over these past few years, change and even challenges are inevitable. However, we have also learned how resilient we can all be, how powerful a growth mindset is, and how effective we (all of us) can be when we focus on the solution. We thank everyone who is part of the IHHS community for that, and we appreciate your support as we continue to employ this approach moving forward.
We want to thank you for your time as you read through the 2022-2023 Handbook. Please note that some sections are in continued development or review. This document is designed to be responsive and collaborative, as it serves to meet the needs of our staff and students. We hope that through your continued support we can uphold our school expectations and work collaboratively to ensure the success of all our students.
We wish you all a safe and prosperous school year.
Sincerely,
